Hi, I’m Kristi
I am an inquisitive learner and problem solver with creativity and empathy as my guiding principles. I graduated from USC, where I studied architecture and real estate development. Now I am pursuing my M.S. in Development Engineering in Energy and Water at UC Berkeley, where I design, develop, and implement technological interventions within the dynamic context of a developing country.
My journey, from the as-built world of architecture to the complex world of Development Engineering, has been a mix of curiosity, sensitivity, and a steadfast commitment to impacting low-resource communities globally. What propelled me into this field was a profound realization that the power of design is not merely in aesthetics but in its potential to engineer change, sculpt communities, and redefine living spaces in a manner that is both sustainable and impactful.
As I navigate the multifaceted world of development engineering, my aspirations are firmly anchored in contributing to companies that stand at the forefront of renewable energy, smart cities, and design. My love for human-centered design, coupled with a robust engineering foundation, equips me to contribute to cross-functional teams, ensuring products are not just built right but are the right build for the users.
In my free time, I love cooking comfort food for my loved ones, creating mixed media artworks, and binge-watching shows that make me excited about life and question its meaning simultaneously.
